History of Technology, Segueing into SEO Audit Info
I’ve lived through some interesting times, technologically speaking. Created documents with the IBM-MagCard. Played CGA video games. Dragged a 20 pound Osbourne “portable” computer to grad school.
SEO Audit and Your Pointy-Haired Boss
And as technology advanced, one thing always remained certain – the pointy-haired boss always assume anything technologically new would be magically effortless. Bosses always thought the database would work wonders and couldn’t understand that you had to do data entry first.
Same with SEO – and, by implication – an SEO audit. We can tell your boss that you almost certainly need an SEO audit, but he won’t believe us, because SEO is magically effortless.
In some ways, we can’t blame the boss – some web guy almost certainly told him that SEO was included, so he’s thinking, “Who needs an SEO audit?” The site was all-inclusive.
“Who needs an SEO audit?” You Do.
But the thing is, technology is magic in its way, but it’s hardly magically effortless. As important as SEO is to your business, it’s a little silly to sit, hands folded, and hope everything will turn out okay when a simple – and sometimes free – SEO audit will let you know precisely where you stand.
